To achieve this, we have implemented a comprehensive Emiratisation programme which extends to a wide spectrum of roles across our portfolio of airports and subsidiaries.

Training

We are strengthening the presence and contribution of Emiratis in the aviation industry by enabling access to our sophisticated training framework.

Our Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS), a centre of excellence for airport and aviation training, focuses largely on developing Emirati talent in aviation. GCAS introduces Emiratis to job opportunities at organisations and bodies in the aviation industry spanning:

• Airlines
• Airports
• Cargo management
• Regulatory/civil aviation
• Safety and security
• Aviation law

Through GCAS and our partnerships with government organisations, we reinforce our position as an employer of choice for Emiratis.

The “ASAAS” Programme

Paving the way for the next generation of airport professionals

We launched “ASAAS”, a recruitment and training programme that aims to empower a new generation of Emirati aviation leaders with the knowledge and experience, to sustain growth and development of this vital sector in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

As part of this programme, successful university graduates will receive on-the-job training over a six-month period that is fully sponsored by Abu Dhabi Airports in collaboration with leading educational institutions. The training is designed to cover a wide range of industry-relevant subjects, such as airport operations, aircraft flight and ground operations, health and safety, security management, and general business management studies.
