Abu Dhabi Airports is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Use of the words “we”, “us” and “our” shall refer to Abu Dhabi Airports. This policy (together with our Terms of Use) sets out the basis on which any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us in relation to your use of the Abu Dhabi Airports mobile application (the Mobile App) and the Digital Vouchers feature.

Except as set out in this policy, the Mobile App follows the same privacy practices as our Abu Dhabi Airports website (Privacy policy).

 

Personal Information We May Collect From You

In addition to the personal information collected through our website and described in our general privacy policy, we may collect and process the following information when you use the Digital Vouchers feature on the Mobile App:

1. Camera Access

When you redeem a digital voucher, the Mobile App will request access to your device camera solely for the purpose of scanning QR codes at participating retail outlets.

We do not record, store, or otherwise retain any images or video captured through your camera.

2. Voucher Redemption Information

When you scan a QR code to redeem a digital voucher, the following information may be collected and processed:

• Timestamp (date and time of voucher redemption)
• Device Identifier (a unique identifier associated with your mobile device)

The digital vouchers themselves are generated through an Abu Dhabi Airports Power App platform.

 

Uses Made of the Information

We may use information collected through the Mobile App and Digital Vouchers to:

• Facilitate the redemption and validation of digital vouchers at participating outlets
• Ensure the proper functioning, security, and auditability of the Digital Vouchers feature
• Analyse usage patterns to improve our services
• Comply with fraud-prevention and operational requirements

 

Mobile App Data

The Mobile App may collect standard device information and interaction, including:

• Standard device information and interaction data similar to the website. This includes the Device ID, FCM token, and device model details.
• For the application to function smoothly and provide all features, it requires allowing permissions to Camera, Location and Bluetooth.

 

Retention

Data collected through the Digital Vouchers feature will be retained for a period of one (1) year and will then be deleted in accordance with Abu Dhabi Airports’ retention policy.

This section sets out how personal information is collected and processed in connection with the use of the Centrik Safety Management Application (the “Centrik Application”).

Except as set out in this section, the Centrik Application follows the same privacy practices as the Abu Dhabi Airports website (Privacy policy).

 

Personal Information We May Collect

In addition to the personal information collected through our website and described in our general Privacy Policy, we may collect and process the following categories of personal information when you use the Centrik Application:

• User identification details, such as name, employee ID, job title, department, employer (where applicable), and contact details.
• Incident and occurrence reporting information, including details of safety events, hazards, near misses, and operational incidents.
• Information relating to individuals involved in or affected by an incident, including witnesses or persons referenced in investigation records.
• Investigation and corrective action records, including findings, root cause analysis, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
• System-generated metadata, such as timestamps, user activity logs, and system audit trails.
• The Centrik Application is used primarily by employees, contractors, and authorized third parties operating within the airport ecosystem.

Uses Made of the Information

• Within Abu Dhabi Airports and other entities within the ADA Group on a strict need-to-know basis.
