Ahead of its opening in November, we have completed ORAT trials to thoroughly test the building’s capacity and systems. Over 11,000 volunteers took part in the first phase of trials, with participants successfully completing a range of scenarios, including transiting through the terminal, disembarking the aircraft and passing through customs and immigration.

These operational trials, at Terminal A, played a significant role in the robust simulations designed to stress-test the equipment, staff, and procedures in key operating areas of the terminal. The system and processes that were tested include check-in and baggage, security screening, boarding gates, immigration, and customs.
